Daniel Duro was a son to his parents, a friend and co-worker to many. We tragically lost on January 1, 2022 and we are dedicating a technology center that bears his name to honor his memory and what he meant to all of us for all the time to come.
The Center
We are building a state of the art center to provide in Burji Woreda/District student with a platform to refine their skills and make a mark in the computer literate world.
Each student will sharpen skills and master new technologies to contribute positively to the economic well-being of the Woreda/District and region and will be well prepared to tackle the complex 21st century challenges facing the world.
Why Burji Woreda?
Danny’s family came from Burji Woreda.
In Burji Woreda/District there are 23,026 students. All students (19,123) in 29 elementary and junior secondary schools have no chance to see or know what computers look like. Of these, there are 3,247 students in grades 7 and 8 who must learn ICT.
